Each figure in an answer carries its source URL and period. To report one that looks wrong, send:
We check it against the source. A confirmed error is corrected in the dataset, with a new date, on realdentalcosts.com and in the tools.
"no_source_at_this_level". No published source covers that figure at that level (state, city). The answer then gives the next level up, such as the national figure, and says so.
Estimated or observed. Each figure carries a badge: observed means measured, estimated means modelled from a measured series. The method is on the methodology page.
Fee schedule age scope. An official Medicaid fee schedule is marked children_only when its source says so and not_verified when the source does not state which ages it covers. It is shown for context only.
Other countries. The tools cover the United States. They give no figures for other countries.
